Shane Vitorino Foundation Batting Cage

L to R:  Chad Goodfellow, Edward Roybal, Shane Victorino, and Stephen Leis.

On November 16, 2015 friends and family of Maui’s own Shane Victorino (Los Angeles Angels outfielder) joined together for the Blessing and Dedication Ceremony of the Shane Victorino Batting Cage at Kalama Park in Kihei, Maui.
In November 2014, the idea surfaced and GBI in partnership with the Dorvin Leis, Co. made Shane’s vision become a reality.  They collaborated on the best design suitable for the elements (e.g. weather, salt from the ocean, etc.) which resulted in the 3,100 sq. foot covered batting cage.  The facility will be maintained by the Kihei Little League.
This was the first CIP project for the Shane Victorino Foundation here on Maui and Shane is thrilled that the youth of Maui will have the use of this new facility.  In Shane’s opening remarks he expressed his desire to provide similar facilities in other communities throughout Maui County.
Congratulations to GBI’s
Ed Roybal and his team for dedicating time and effort in building the batting cage to provide a venue for our future baseball stars.
