Wenatchee, WA – The Goodfellow Bros., (GBI) Wenatchee office held their first ever charity golf classic on September 21st at the Wenatchee Golf and Country Club benefiting the Chelan-Douglas County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children) Program.
The golf classic received support from 31 sponsors, including the Presenting Sponsor, NC Machinery, along with 43 local contributors. Both Chad Goodfellow (CEO) and Dan Goodfellow (VP) were amongst the 132 golfers that participated. The event raised $38,500 in sponsorships, live auctions and raffle. GBI matched the funds raised, donating a total amount of $77,000 to CASA.
“I am so proud of our team, our company, and our community,” said Travis Hendrick, GBI’s Director of Finance who spearheaded the event. “We feel so blessed to have the opportunity to support the CASA team and advance their mission of providing support for a powerful voice for abused and neglected children.”
GBI is no stranger to giving back; their mission is to be the contractor of choice by their clients, employees and communities where they live and work and they continually seek out opportunities to do good things in the community.
“Goodfellow Brothers’ recent fundraiser was not only significant in the amount of money raised for CASA and the children we serve, but the warmth and generosity of everyone at Goodfellow rose to a level that we should all be proud of,” said Sue Baker, CASA Executive Director. “Everyone that was involved in the golf tournament deserves a huge thank you. All of us here at the CASA Program are not only thankful for the significant outcome of the golf tournament, but also by the new “friends” we now have. It is an honor to have been chosen as the beneficiary of their efforts.”
