The construction of the Twin Rivers Hatchery Program consisted of the installation of a new hatchery facility that was designed to raise both white sturgeon and fresh water Burbot, the first of its kind.
Goodfellow Bros., Inc. (GBI) worked closely with the Kootenai Tribe of Idaho for nearly one year, prior to entering into a contract for this project. The objective was to assist in the design and constructability reviews and budgeting, and to assist in valuable engineering ideas, in order to get the overall cost of the project within their budget, and gain funding from the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA).
GBI was able to provide the completed facility with all required functions needed to operate under the projected goal! The success of the project is due mainly to the team approach to the work, and consistent interaction with the owner, engineers, and contractors. Any potential issues were resolved early on, before they became costly.
